ABOUT ASHER YOUNG STUDIO
Asher Young Studio (AYS) is a creative direction, design, and producing studio based in New York City. Ranging from art installations to immersive theater to concert tours, AYS establishes every project's creative narrative through a rigorous artistic process and invites audiences to be the protagonist in the work.
We have put A$AP Rocky through physical and psychological tests on the sales floor of Sotheby’s; tied up 40 audience members in shibari ropes and served them tuna after an aerial duet; developed a three-dimensional hologram to represent memory and physicalize lost loved ones; brought together 30 artists and researchers to project onto Yale’s rare book and manuscript library; and woven 33,000 milliwatts of light through a garden of trees to represent mycorrhizal networks.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a dynamic role that blends studio operations, project management, and creative producing. You'll work closely with the studio’s founder and creative collaborators to help shape and realize projects at varying scales across disciplines.
We’re looking for a sharp, proactive, resourceful force—someone who doesn’t just track the plan but drives it forward. You’re the kind of person who doesn’t wait to be told what to do; you connect dots, solve problems, and take ownership of what needs to happen next.
The ideal candidate is excited to work across the many industries we intersect with—theater, immersive performance, fashion, music, art, and design—and thrives in environments where no two days are the same.
